Shipper: STORE PICK UP
A spectacular three piece marble mantel clock set includes statues of figures gathering flowers, sowing seeds and harvesting wheat. Dating from about 1890, the clock is signed by famous Paris maker, "Marti."
The center statue has a brass plate engraved, "Fleurs Pintanieres," or Spring Flowers. Sculptures are cast spelter, a white metal alloy with their original bronze painted finish. There are minor restorations to the red marble bases of this antique French set.
Professionally cleaned and oiled, the brass movement keeps accurate time for a week on a winding. A silvery bell counts the hour and rings the half hour. Under a beveled glass door, the porcelain dial is hand painted.
Clock size is 13 1/2" x 6 1/2' and 25" tall, side statues are 7" x 7" and 16" tall.
