Renaissance Carved Antique Italian Bedroom Set King Size Bed, Marble Tops #36015

A spectacular five piece bedroom set was hand carved of solid walnut in the Renaissance manner about 1890. The set includes a king size bed, pair of nightstands and two chests or dressers with beveled mirrors and marble tops. Deep moldings, carved panels and spiral columns are imposing.

The restored finish is in excellent condition on this antique set, designed for a palazzo in northern Italy. Original salmon marble has various restorations and has been polished and given a protective finish.

Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints. Hardware is original, door locks work. Original beveled mirrors have a hint of "smoke" to show their age. Crests are removable on all pieces.

The bed has been expertly adapted to fit standard modern king size bedding, the demonstrator mattress and spring units are 18" thick together. Wood cross supports and legs are included as shown. Measurements are 88" wide, 89" long, the headboard is 74" tall and the footboard is 27" high.

Nightstands are a true right and left pair. Size is 20" wide, 16" deep and 32 1/2" tall.

The larger chest or dresser is 50" wide, 25" deep and 96" tall, the smaller is 41" wide, 25" deep and 80" tall.
