Italian Antique Hand Carved Queen Size Bed, Gold Finish, Silk Upholstery #36123

A palatial queen size bed with an original gold finish has burnished highlights and an original tufted silk upholstered panel. This imposing bed was hand carved about 1920 for a palazzo in northern Italy.

There are touchups to the original gold finish on the deeply sculpted wood frame. Silk upholstery is worn and has not been professionally cleaned, the panel is removable and could be reupholstered as desired.

Expertly adapted to modern queen size, wood cross supports are included as shown. The demonstrator mattress and spring unit are 18" thick together.

Measurements are 73" wide, 87" long, the headboard is 45" tall and the footboard is 18" high.
