Farmhouse Maple Full Size Antique Empire Cannon Ball, Acanthus Poster Bed #36627

This farmhouse "cannonball" poster bed was hand carved of solid maple about 1825 with classical acanthus motifs. Crafted in Pennsylvania, this rope Empire bed has been adapted to fit a standard modern full or double mattress. There are irregularities from being truly hand crafted, see photos.

The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made Empire period antique furniture. Wood cross supports are included as shown. The demonstrator mattress and pallet in photos are 10 1/2" thick together.

Dimensions are 82" long, 58" wide and 51" tall.
