Fishing Village & Boats Vintage Original Oil Painting, Spier 43 1/2" #36797

A fishing village with sailboats is depicted in this original oil painting from about 60 years ago, signed lower left by Peter Albert Speier. There is a biography of the artist on the back. Spier was born in Dresden in 1920, Germany and studied in Rome and Paris. His work was exhibited across Europe and he won the Prize of Rome.

The original carved frame is in very good condition with a genuine gold leaf finish on this vintage picture on canvas.

Overall size is 43 1/2" x 31 1/2" and 2" deep.
