A "Victor Talking Machine" or Victrola wind up phonograph model VE8-30X from about 1920 has a carved mahogany case. This luxury model was one of the first with an electric motor instead of wind-up, and plays standard old 78 rpm records very well. Interior mounts are gold plated.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this antique record player, American made in New Jersey. Carved details and bun feet are original. To the left of the turntable is a felted holder to set another record.
Inside the lid is the original Nipper dog logo with "His Master's Voice." There are speed and on/off controls. Volume control is soft - both doors closed, medium - one door open, and loud - both doors open. A group of old records in albums are included as shown.
Size of this American made antique furniture is 31 1/2" wide, 22" deep, and 46 1/2" tall when lid is closed.
