Mahogany Stacking Antique Legal or Letter Office or Library File Cabinet #37087

A five drawer file cabinet is solid mahogany and is signed "Library Bureau Sole Maker." This superior quality office furniture was furnished to public libraries by the Andrew Carnegie Foundation. Dating from about 1910, all drawers have original pushers, rods. Files could be fitted with wire frames for hanging files if desired.

The restored deep finish is in excellent condition. Sides are paneled, brass label holders and drawer pulls are original. Stacking modules are currently secured together.

Top drawers hold cards up to 5 x 8, file drawers fit legal or letter files.

Overall size is 19" wide, 25 1/2" deep and 51" tall.
