A spectacular French three piece mantel clock set from about 1880 is black and red marble, signed "E. Lourdelet." Classical Egyptian faces and figures and lion paw feet are patinated brass and bronze. The marble is engraved in floral and grapevine motifs with genuine gold leaf highlights.
The clock has a jeweled open escapement with a window to the brass movement inside. The enameled dial has a beveled glass door. Professionally serviced and oiled, the mechanism keeps accurate time and has a bell on the half hour and counting the hour on this palatial antique set.
Clock measurements are 13 1/2" wide, 7 1/2" deep and 19" tall, side urns are 7" wide, 5" deep and 16" tall. Total weight is 80 lbs.
