Victorian Antique English Burl Desk Caddy Jewelry Box, 1883 Dedication #37559

This charming Victorian period English desk caddy or jewelry chest is solid mahogany with an ebonized finish and burl panels. There are pen holders and places for inkwells on the top.

A solid mahogany drawer has hand cut dovetail joints. A pencil dedication inscription reads "Captain (?), First High Company, 1883."

The restored finish is in excellent condition on this antique box, preserving mars and wear from use and age.

Size is 12" x 8.5" and 5" tall.
