Victorian Antique Walnut, Burl & Curly Maple Inlaid Chess Game Table #37820

An exquisite Victorian period game table was hand carved of solid walnut about 1870. The tilt top has a board for checkers or chess with inlaid walnut burl, curly maple and ebony.

The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving the irregularities typical of burl on the top, see photos. Reglued to serve another generation, the base is strong.

Measurements are 24" diameter and 29 1/2" tall, raised height is 41" tall.
