Expertly crafted about 1900 for a dentist with many shallow drawers and compartments, this mahogany dental cabinet is also functional for a collector or as a jewelry chest.
Side doors open to compartments with hooks fitted for jewelry or other collections. A pull out drawer offers a writing or work surface and two hidden drawers in the breakfront have grooves for dental utensils or jewelry.
The deep restored finish is in excellent condition on solid quarter sawn oak. Cut glass and brass knobs plus cast brass feet are original on this historic furniture. The upper section is tin lined with glass doors.
Side panels are raised and beveled on this superior quality antique. In the center is a hopper for waste or towels that has a curved edge so it may tilt when properly sitting in the cabinet. There will always be the faint clove oil "dentist office" scent when opened.
Size is 40 1/2" wide, 18" deep and 61 1/2" tall.
