A Victorian period 70 drawer file cabinet from about 1900 is solid quarter sawn oak, signed by famous maker, "The Globe File." Another brass plate is from the Chicago dealer that originally sold it. The roll top glides smoothly and has a working lock, it is very heavy due to its large size and must be operated with care.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique library or office furniture. There are pull out shelves in the center. Drawers have original paper labels and brass label holders and pulls. Sides are open and fit papers up to 9" x 13." This large cabinet does not disassemble.
Dimensions are 56" wide, 20" deep and 78" tall.
