Hylas & Water Nymphs Varnished Print after Waterhouse 18 1/2" #38349

This heavy gilt frame contains a varnished print on canvas of the 1896 oil painting "Hylas and the Water Nymphs," by famous Victorian Romantic painter, John William Waterhouse.

Waterhouse lived from 1849-1917 and was a member of the Royal Academy of Arts before following in the style of the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood. He is known for his Victorian Neoclassical paintings of mythological and Arthurian women that caused significant controversy during his day.

Overall size is 18 1/2" wide, 15" tall and 2 1/2" deep. Print size is 9 1/2" wide and 5 1/2" tall.
