Dating from the 1940s, this Art Deco bar cabinet, breakfront, pantry, or china cabinet from Munich, Germany was designed in the almost Midcentury style. Curved side doors swing on brass piano hinges and open to reveal glass holders for lemons etc., plus a working hour glass 5 minute tea brewing timer.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on matched exotic elm and ash burl, with a sunburst pattern on the lower doors.
The bottom left cabinet has a double door, both with working locks, and inside is a tobacco humidor. The mahogany interior has mirrors and glass shelves. Hardware and working locks are original, drawers have finger dovetail joints.
Sliding glass doors have carved and gilt decoration and the timer is signed "Ekosta."
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made vintage furniture. The base and top of this piece disassemble for easier transport.
