Victorian 1850's Antique Iron Railroad Strong Box, Treasure Chest or Safe #38515

A Victorian period cast iron strong box, treasure chest or safe from the 1850's was said to have been used by a railroad. The hand painted monogram on the exterior reads "T.O.S." in gold.

The lock and key is working on this antique safe, the embossed brass handle is original as well. There are losses on the enamel and paint from age, see photos.

Size is 22" wide, 15" deep and 13" tall and weighs 18 lbs.
