Renaissance Antique Italian Armoire, Wardrobe, Closet Carved Heads, Lions #38548

This spectacular Renaissance design armoire, wardrobe or closet was hand carved of solid walnut about 1900 in Italy. Deeply sculpted motifs include crests, heads, shells, lion heads and flowers. Inside, each door has a long mirror. Sides and doors have raised panels.

Inside are brackets where shelves could be installed if desired. There is a closet pole at the top and doors have working locks. Drawers have hand carved knobs and hand cut dovetail joints. There is just enough "smoke" to the mirrors to show their age, see photos.

The original finish is very well preserved, and has been waxed and buffed, so all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft cloth. For easier delivery, this antique furniture disassembles.

Interior depth is 20," overall size is 59" wide tip to tip, 27" deep and 89 1/2" tall.
