George II Antique 1817 Armorial Sterling Silver Tea Kettle & Stand #41898

This hand crafted solid sterling silver tea kettle and stand has a lavish hand engraved family crest.

• Variations at edges and inside show hand crafted artistry, filigree piercing and flared feet
• Silver marks of Lion Passant shows 92.5 sterling silver
• Crowned Leopard head indicates London Assay office, pre 1820
• "b" for 1817 date
• In very fine condition with minor dings - see photos
• Unknown maker signature "E" followed by partial letter with left edge flat like P or D, embossed star below, possible eagle above
• Losses to insulation caning on handle
• Heavy weight 61 troy ounces for both pieces

Teapot size is 9" across handle and spout, 7" deep and 9.5" tall with handle raised, stand is 7.25" across and 4" tall.
