Dutch Antique Carved Oak Kas, Wardrobe, Armoire or Cabinet #49147

A traditional Dutch "Kas" was a dowry cabinet or armoire that descended with the daughter of a wealthy family.

• Dutch antique 1920s furniture
• Oak with loads of quarter sawn grain and walnut accents
• Old finish has been waxed and buffed, preserving minor dings & mars. All that is needed to maintain the soft luster is an occasional wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
• Shrinkage separations from age - see photos
• Fantastically carved motifs of a woman playing lute, a mythological face, figures with grapes, flowers, & large bun feet
• Original iron hardware, working locks and keys
• Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints
• Crown & doors are removable

Size is 75.5" wide, 26.5" deep, and 79" tall with crest. Without crest, height is 65" tall.
