This set of 12 matching dining chairs are in the English Country style and were hand made about 1910. The very solid oak and mixed hardwood frames are secured with wooden pegs, and the original finish has been polished to a lustrous medium brown in superior condition.
Seat springs are still firm but comfortable, and the old leatherette upholstery has brass nailhead trim. There is one chair with an almost 2" long cut on the seat that could be repaired by a leather repair person, otherwise there is little wear to the upholstering on this furniture, which is very serviceable or could be changed to match any decor. The backs have a graceful arch, and legs are deeply "spool-turned" in the Renaissance manner.
Size of these antique chairs is 18" wide, 21" deep, 41" tall and the seats are 19" high.
