Antique Carved Italian Marble Top Chest, Gold Mirror

Gracefully carved in Italy about 1910, this majestic four-door antique chest or dresser is walnut with inlaid banding, and has a matching carved mirror in beautiufl burnished gold.

Dramatic moldings, convex panels and striking hand-carved details are characteristic of palazzo furniture from the Piedmont region of Milan. The original finish is superb, and this antique furniture is in wonderful condition.

The figured marble is undamaged, there are minor touchups to the mirror frame - see photos. Hand dovetailed drawers are finished inside and have original brass pulls. Size is 4 1/2' wide, 22" deep, 7'9" tall, and the marble top is 39" above the floor.
