Wonderful New England country furniture, this style was called a "Boston" rocker, made famous when President Kennedy used one to help his aching back.
A sound and hardy antique from about 1850, this large rocking chair is very comfortable because of the shaped seat and curved back.
Hand carved of ash, poplar and oak hardwoods, the satiny finish is excellent.
Size is 23" wide, 32" deep, 41" tall and the seat is 15" high.
