This mahogany Victrola or Victor Talking Machine record player is model VV-XIV from around 1910. There is crazing in the original finish, which is in very good condition for its age. Nickel plated hardware is all original.
This player works well, the speed control is operational and there is an automatic shutoff at the end of play. The crank is removable, the spring motor is in good running order. Volume control is soft (both doors closed), medium (one door open) and loud (both doors open).
In the lower record storage area are three original albums of various records. The covers are embossed with the famous "His Master's Voice" design with the dog "Nipper," the same design is under the lid.
Measurements of this nostalgic American antique are 23" wide, 24" deep and 49" tall when the lid is closed.
