One of the most elaborate cedar chests we have ever seen, this outstanding furniture includes a humidity gauge, clock, and swivel reverse etched mirror.
The exterior has an excellent finish on walnut, burl and satinwood panels. Small jewel drawers and the lower drawer have original bakelite pulls.
Inside are guarantees and original labels, signed "Roos of Forest Park, Ill." When opened, there is a light mothball scent.
The electric clock needs a manual start when plugged in, typical of the era. A push button unlocks the lid of the cedar lined chest.
Size of this vintage American piece is 45" wide, 20" deep, 47" tall and the flat top is 30" high.
