Eastlake Victorian 1885 Walnut Armoire or Wardrobe

An American classic, this solid walnut late Victorian or Eastlake armoire or wardrobe dates from about 1885. Beautiful proportions and outstanding workmanship are evident everywhere - dovetails in the drawer, deeply sculptured doors and crown. This armoire disassembles for moving. Brass drawer pulls are original, locks have working keys.

The rich reddish-brown finish is excellent. On the left side are tiny chips and shrinkage separations from age, see photos. The interior of this antique furniture is empty, it could be fitted with a closet pole or shelves if desired.

Measurements of this simple yet elegant armoire are 5' wide, 21" deep and 7' 1" tall, the inside is 16" deep.
