Seth Thomas 1835 Empire Ogee Clock

Signed by famous maker, "Seth Thomas, Plymouth Hollow, Connecticut, Warranted Good," an authentic "ogee" shaped clock dates from about 1835. The original label is inside, hand-painted dial, crank, pendulum and weights all appear original.

Newly cleaned and oiled, the signed brass 30 hour movement keeps excellent time and strikes the hour. The case is pine and mahogany. There are some old shrinkage separations, see photos, the satiny finish is very fine. Weights hang inside the case from wooden pulleys on the top.

Size of this picturesque American antique is 15" wide, 5" deep and 25" tall.
