French Carved Antique Rosewood Queen Bed

An elegant hand carved antique French rosewood bed has been adapted to fit standard queen size mattress as shown, and dates from about 1890. The original finish is excellent with warm patina. Exquisite diamond matched panels are outstanding.

The wonderful Roccoco crests are truly amazing and show stunning artistry. Expert carving is in high relief, panels are diagonally matched. Rosewood has a sublime delicate grain and color, is extremely hard, and has a silken original finish. There is a shrinkage separation in the headboard crest, and shrinkage to the front of the footboard see photos. Photographs show modern steel rails in standard queen size.

Furniture dating from the 1890's, measurements of this exquisite antique furniture are 5'4" wide, 7'4" long, the headboard is 5'10" tall and the footboard is 37" high. The casters can be removed is desired.
