Country French Antique Carved Oak Triple Bookcase

Exquisitely hand-carved of solid oak, this authentic Country French bookcase has artistic detailing, raised panels and individual panes of wavy glass in all three doors.

Dating from about 1895, interior shelves are adjustable on wooden supports, locks operate with keys. The original finish on fine-grained oak is in excellent condition, with wonderful warmth and patina plus some natural lighter toned "sapwood." Wooden carved pegs secure the joints, there are several shrinkage separations due to age, see photos.

Measurements of this elegant French antique furniture are 5' 10" wide, 17" deep and almost 6' 2" tall.
