Dating from the late Victorian period about 1900, this quarter-sawn or "tiger" oak small chest or commode could serve as an end table or bedside table.
The deep brown finish is excellent, the top drawer is "serpentine" curved. Drawers have dovetails and original brass hardware.
On the door is carved detail. Size of this American antique furniture is 34" wide, 19" deep and 30" tall, the top is 27" high.
