Crafted of solid oak, a pulpit or lectern has Gothic arched panels and a removable book holder. The original finish is very good, with some crazing from age, shrinkage separations, and touch-ups. Inside is worn carpeting, and there are unfinished areas on the top where the bookrest must have originally been attached, see photos.
This American antique furniture dates from about 1920, and has wheels underneath that could be removed if desired.
Measurements are 4' 11" wide, 3' 8" deep and 55" tall to the flat top ledge. In addition, the separate birch book or note holder measures 15" wide, 14" deep and 13" tall.
