Drafting or Artist's Drawing Antique Desk

This slant top drafting or drawing desk was originally used in art and architectural drawing classes, and would be useful to many artists. Solid birch and maple, the top slopes. Used either standing or with the stool, there is an iron foot rest. The swivel stool has adjustable height and is removable.

Storage compartments are on the right and left sides. There is beautiful patina to the golden finish, which is in very good condition on all sides with enough stains and mars to show its age. On the right side of the right front leg are small shrinkage cracks and stains, see photos. The desk should be screwed to the floor for stability.

Very ruggedly crafted about 1920, size of this antique American furniture is 30" wide, 26" deep, the top slants up from 38 1/2" to 41" high.
