A magnificent six-door armoire was carved in the 1930's for a lavish villa on Lake Como in northern Italy.
Matched walnut burl panels are stunning, tapered curly grain columns have carved capitals. Deeply sculpted moldings have classical motifs and this armoire has beautiful lines and proportions.
The satiny finish is excellent, enhancing the intricate natural wood grain. Original plate glass mirrored doors have reverse carving. This antique furniture disassembles for moving. Inside are closet poles and drawers, it could be reconfigured with shelves if desired.
Dimensions of this palatial Italian antique furniture are 6' 4 1/2" tall, 26" deep and 10' 7" wide.
Several of the pieces in this group have the logo of the dealer in the town of Cantu on beautiful Lake Como, celebrated for centuries for its palm trees and opulent villas.
