Carved Chest or Dresser Black Marble Top

Hand carved of solid walnut in northern Italy, this chest or dresser has the original "Nero Portoro" black marble with white and gold graining. It comes from the famous Italian quarry.

The side mirrors are beveled, all three have "smoke" to show their age, from about 1915.

Hand-carved detailing is artistic, embossed brasses are original on dovetailed drawers.

Size of this elegant antique furniture is 4' wide, 22" deep, 6' 1" tall and the base is 38 1/2" high.
