Victorian Eastlake Pier Mirror Walnut & Marble 1885

This late Victorian or Eastlake tall pier mirror in walnut with burl has a marble shelf and dates from the 1880's. The incised carving with the original gold paint accents is quite beautiful.

The finish on the solid walnut and intricate burl is excellent, and the marble shelf is also very good.

Dramatic mirrors like this were used to magnify light in Victorian interiors. Dimensions are 6' 11" tall, 27" wide and 9 1/2"deep.
