Victorian Marble Top Chest or Dresser

Historic Victorian elegance is reflected in this marble top chest or dresser. It is made of solid walnut with matched burl panels and dates from about 1870. Beautiful in many settings, this antique furniture would also serve as a linen or hall chest, vessel sink vanity or as a base for a flat screen TV.

The original finish is in amazingly good condition, with luscious patina and later over-varnishing. There are minor repaired chips to the "Tennessee Red" marble. Drawers have hand carved dove tails of the period, measurements are 42" wide, 20" deep and 28" tall.
