Coromandel Carved 6 Panel Chinese Screen

A lovely six panel screen is traditional "Coromandel," layers of hand-painted colored lacquer with satiny black top layers, then designs are carved by hand into the colored layers below.

Both sides are serene scenes from nature in soft, delicate shades. Feet and hardware are brass. There are minor touch-ups and crackling to the lacquer finish, see photos.

Vintage Asian furniture from about 40 years ago, dimensions of all six panels are 16" wide and 7' tall, so total width if stretched flat is 8' and partly folded as shown, width is 7.'
