Signed by clockmaker "Terhune and Edwards" of New York City, this authentic American Empire ogee clock has a 30 hour movement. The case is flame grain matched mahogany in the curved "ogee" shape, and has various repairs and touchups over many years, see photos. Original wavy glass, label and hand-painted dial are authentic on this historic 1840's American antique timepiece.
The brass original movement runs well and strikes the hour.
On the lower glass is "A View in Rome, Italy," the case is 18 1/2" tall, 12" wide and 4" deep.
