Duc de Vendome Statue or Antique Sculpture

A bold statue of "Vendome" dates from the late 1800's, it was cast in spelter or white metal alloy, similar to pewter. This sculpture has beautiful antique patina, and we see no damage.

"Duc de Vendome" was the illegitimate son of French King Henri IV and his mistress, Gabrielle d'Estrees. A very grand French work of art dates from about 1890. Height of this noble historic figure is 29 1/2" tall.
