Signed in gold by famous maker, "Macey," a two stack lawyer's or barrister's bookcase is shimmering quarter-sawn oak. The gleaming finish is excellent, knobs and labels are original. Sections have three panes of original wavy glass plus separate base and top sections.
This early 1900's antique American furniture dates from the Mission Oak or Arts and Crafts period. Interiors are golden maple with some wear on the bottoms from sliding books in and out.
The upper section accommodates books up to 10" tall and 10" wide, the lower section up to 12" tall and 10" wide. Overall dimensions are 35" wide, 12" deep and 40" tall.
