American Empire 1830's Antique Curly Tiger Maple Chest or Dresser

An American Empire period chest or dresser was hand crafted about 1835 of tiger or curly grain maple. The dazzling natural grain "shimmers" and the lustrous finish is in excellent condition with positively glowing antique patina.

Large drawers have tiny hand cut dovetail joints, sides have been restored to glide smoothly. Knobs are walnut on this American made East Coast furniture, the top has been rebuilt - see photos.

Measurements of this marvelous historic piece are 45" wide, 24" deep and 45 1/2" tall.
