Signed by famous maker, "Ansonia of New York City, Pat. 1882," a cast iron mantel clock has its original black enamel finish, accented with gold painting and pewter finish griffin sculptures and paw feet.
There are chips to the finish, see photos. The brass movement keeps excellent time on this antique Victorian period clock. A winding lasts a week, a deep gong counts the hour and sounds the half hour.
Measurements are 17" wide, 7" deep and 11" tall.
