Antique 1830 Small Child Size Trunk, Chest or Coffee Table, Orig. Lock #30359

A rustic child size trunk or chest from about 1830 was hand hewn of solid mahogany and would be a charming small coffee table. It has original wrought iron mounts and a giant working lock and "double throw" key.

Hand crafted in northern Europe with hand cut dovetail joints at the corners, this historic furniture was brought to America by an immigrant.

The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving lots of shrinkage separations from age, mars and scraped areas for antique character. There are small compartments inside for treasures on this antique furniture. Every surface shows hand tool marks.

Size is 28" long, 16" wide and 15" tall.
