Antique Chinese 45 Drawer Herbal Apothecary Cabinet

This antique 45 drawer cabinet was made for a traditional Chinese herbal apothecary, and most of the drawers have 4 compartments with hand inscriptions on the front and sides.

Forty two small drawers plus 3 large drawers on the bottom all have original pulls - many have mouse chew marks, the herbs were apparently good for mice as well as humans.

The old finish is worn and stained, it has beautiful dark patina on solid ash hardwood. Solid furniture from over 100 years ago, dimensions are 34" wide, 19" deep and 46" tall.
