Art Deco 1930's Queen Size Waterfall 5 Pc. Bedroom Set, Signed Joerns
From the Art Deco period in the late 1930's, this five piece bedroom set in the "waterfall" design is signed by noted maker, "Joerns Brothers of Stevens Point, Wis."
The set comprises a bed adapted to queen size, pair of nightstands, dresser with mirror and tall chest. A superb satiny finish enhances matched flame mahogany, satinwood, zebrawood and maple with delicate inlaid marquetry designs. Large dovetailed drawers have pulls with bakelite inserts on this superior quality American made vintage set.
The bed has been expertly adapted to fit a standard modern queen size mattress and spring unit as shown, wood support slats underneath are included.
Measurements are 64" wide, 87" long, the headboard is 49" tall and the footboard is 24" high. The dresser has an original beveled mirror plus small blue mirrors as well, there is a chip to one corner, see photos.
Size is 48" wide, 23" deep and 6' tall. Nightstands measure 14" wide, 19" deep and 29" tall. The tall chest is 36" wide, 23" deep and 54" high.
