This authentic secretary desk is exceptionally well crafted and from about 1905 - the Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak period.
Solid quarter sawn oak, the original dark "fumed or smoked" finish was clear varnished over long ago and has lots of character - small mars and wear.
Thick sides are built like a butcher block. Inside are cubbyholes and a small drawer. The upper lock does not work, the key is a handle only. Escutcheons and knobs appear original.
Understated lines are classic on this antique furniture, and measurements are 32" wide, 14" deep, 46" tall and the desktop is 30" high.
