This circa 1910 Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak period quarter sawn oak desk is signed by famous maker, "Globe Wernicke" of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Original solid brass pulls and feet are from the days of mopping floors. Richly figured quarter sawn oak has an excellent deep finish, there are just enough mars and wear at the edges of the top for antique character, see photos. Deep drawers have dovetailed joints, there is a file drawer. Two pull out shelves offer extra workspace on this American made Craftsman furniture.
Dimensions are 54" long, 34" deep, 30 1/2" tall and the knee hole is 23 1/2" wide and 25" high.
