Birdseye Maple & Ebony King Size Bed Headboard

Famous "bird's eye" grain maple has contrasting ebonized moldings on this Victorian period bed headboard, adapted to fit standard modern king size bedding as shown in photos.

The finish is very fine, with various touchups and repairs over the years plus beautiful antique patina. Shimmering natural grain is beautiful, with stunning contrast in satiny black. There are irregularities, warps and shrinkage separations, see photos.

This historic headboard could be used with a standard modern king-size Hollywood bed frame.

Austrian furniture from the 1870's, this antique shows Biedermeier design influence. Measurements are 58" tall, 6' 10" wide and 7" deep.
