British Royal Navy Antique Beaver Officer Bicorn Hat, Portsmouth, England #29413

A beaver fur British Royal Navy officer "bicorn" hat has its original red silk lining with gold inscription, "? Sons, High Street, Portsmouth," England.

From the 1800's, the worn leather has worn silk edging plus tarnished gold thread decorations, see photos. A feathered crest is removable. Inside is a leather band. This antique hat size is fairly small.

Portsmouth is a major British port on the south coast of England.

Size is 16" x 7" and 8" tall excluding the feather plume.
