An elegant dining set from the 1920's was carved of walnut and signed by luxury maker, "Tobey of Chicago and New York." The table has six leaves in a case, there are six chairs with new upholstery.
The top and leaves have been revarnished for durability, the rest of the finish is original with minor touchups and in very fine condition on this American made antique furniture.
There is matched walnut on the table top, surrounded by intricate rosewood banding. Underneath are drop down center legs for extra support. Six 12" wide leaves include two with skirts or aprons and four without. Table size is 44" wide, 30" tall, legroom is 25" underneath and length when closed is 5,' with all six leaves in place, length is 11' overall.
Six chairs have graceful carving and banded curved backs with inlaid banding to match. Sturdy rungs underneath are original. Two armchairs are 26" wide, 24" deep, 43" tall and seats are 19" high, four side chairs are 22" wide, 22" deep and 41" tall.
