Carved Marble Top Credenza Sideboard & Mirror

Palatial and dramatic furniture from a palazzo near Genoa in northern Italy, a green marble-top sideboard or credenza is opulent with columns, carved frieze, matched burl and a classical carved relief of a chariot and horses.

The condition is remarkable on this original furniture from the 1920's. The polished marble top has beautiful grain plus a few small flakes at the edges. Lavish hand-carved artistry in walnut is masterful everywhere. The finish is in excellent condition with glowing warm patina. Hardware is complete and original, the interior is finished in mahogany.

Carved angels stand watch at the sides of the removable mirror, and this regal piece could grace a foyer, office or dining room.

Size of this imposing antique is 7' 6" long, 25" deep, 5' 7" tall and the base is 37" high.
