Cast Iron Antique Architectural Salvage Fire or School Bell & Frame 26" Diameter

A cast iron bell was architectural salvage from a school house or fire station from the early 1900's and is embossed "26" for 26" diameter.

The cast iron yokes are original, the wheel would accept a rope to ring the bell from far below. American made, this antique has been recently repainted. There is an undecipherable inscription embossed into the iron above the bell. A simple dolly with wheels was later constructed to move this very heavy bell.

Bell size is 16" tall and 26" diameter, overall size is 33" square and 45" high.
